Very delicious, if you have a sweet tooth, simply add more sugar to the recipe.
Top and tail the gooseberries add 5 ounces of sugar.
Make 8 ounces of sweet short crust pastry.
Line a 7 inch round pie dish with some of the pastry. Add the Gooseberry mixture, put rest of pastry on top.
Glaze top with milk or beaten egg.
Bake in a moderate oven (gas mark 6) for 45 minutes.
Serve with custard.
